@limbs32 You may have to work a shitty 9 to 5, but that does not mean you have to allow your soul to rot. You’ve got sixteen whole other hours in each day with which you can do whatever the fuck you like.

I work my shitty 9 to 5, then go home and jump headlong into working on the music that feeds my soul, for which I get paid nothing. Like all good musicians, I do it because I love it—which, let me add, is the only good reason for doing anything.

@emerson24 You’re right. All the money we spend on defense could well pay for everyone in the world, I agree. I just meant that our currency systems of the world are all irrelevant because they just give people an excuse to not be providing for the whole world. When capitalists are asked why they don’t feel the need to ‘spread the wealth’, they always come back with bullshit jargon about finances & try to convince people that it’s too complicated. But in all reality, we simply do have the means.

@OfAllOblivion There’s plenty of money to feed everyone in the world… Unfortunately, though, war is more profitable than peace. I have always wondered what would happen if we fed everyone rather than fought everyone (especially brown people.) I somehow doubt they would be as willing to be martyrs for the richest of their culture, just as the poor people of this country are tricked by the richest of our culture into fighting wars that only profit the already-rich.
