Ramblings of an “Old” Internet Marketer: Part Two
In my first article I explained how I recited and enacted all the lists, goals, and mantras that were explained in “Lazy Mans Way To Riches” by Joe Karbo. I did it all and NOTHING happened, until I realized that I had skipped the most important part of making dreams reality.
Let’s pick up where I left you in part one.
I was getting NOTHING from all the steps in Joe’s book. I honestly felt that I had been “Hosed” again like so many times in my past. I had the desire to achieve all that he touted. I had the energy to visualize all that he demanded of me. I read and reread the chapters on getting what you dreamed for. I swore on all that was holy, that I was eligible, ready, and deserving of my “Lazy Riches” Where were they? Three months waiting, I felt, was time enough for things to pop and happen.
It was after I had a long talk with my wife, that she opened a little portal into why I was failing. It hit me with the force of a 155 artillery round. I mouthed all the mumblings of wealth, I envisioned the goals as there and mine, I did all the time table readings of the required lists, I did it all….EXCEPT…the most important aspect of any success…I did not take “ACTION”.
I did not do the one thing that would make all my “dreams” into reality….ACTION. I bumbled along thinking that if I just repeated all the wishes that the book had given me, then magically I would be successful…no matter what I did…or didn’t do. I guess you could say that I expected to sit in a grand Oak Chair in the Library, and I would absorb all the knowledge of the previous chair users, and “Wham” I would be all set and await my riches. Without me taking ACTION it never came to pass.
What did I do when this “Portal” was shown to me. I had to sit in a quiet place, and make a plan for Action. When that plan was in place I realized that all the promises of Making A Million, required Taking Massive Action to see it through. I went on to actually make some money using Joe Karbo’s method, and I still do today selling a plan for some rabbit hutches that I designed. The only way I made anything was through ACTION
How has this helped this “old” Internet Marketer? I have the hard earned lessons that come with age, and that lesson is that no matter what you strive for you have to take action. Take Massive action….even if you are not sure it is the best action to take…take massive action toward your goals. You learn, and regroup and charge again, and again, and again. I love this lifestyle, and can think of no other for me, all this because I took Action! I think a great way to finish this article is from a quote from Robert Ringer, a best selling author on the New York Times book list. He sums it up best with: ACTION….Nothing Happens Until Something Moves YOU be that someone that moves…YOU take Action, YOU make something Happen!
